A girl wants to be part of a talent show and she shows her dad her dance but he never paid attention because he was always working but when it is the talent show night she gets stage fright and her dad stands up and starts dancing with her.
I think the girls passion is dancing. her dad is so busy because he is working. I think her mum doesn't live with them that's why her dad has to work all the time. I think that I will tell the dad just to give her a little more attention. I think she feels annoyed because she wanted to show him her dance.

My favorite place to swim is Tairua beach.

When it is high tide at Tairua the waves get really big and we sit up on the sand and the waves pull us in.

Kids had tails... I think that it would change some things like  your pants would have to have holes for your tail to go through.

Favourite foods

Breakfast -  Waffles with wiped cream and strawberry on the top with a side of watermelon. I would like this because it would be refreshing and good. The ingredients you need is a waffle mixture cream strawberry and watermelon.

I like this because all the filling goes well together. The ingredients you need are rice seaweed capsicum avocado and chicken. 

Dinner - Hawaiian pizza in the pizza oven. I like this because they go really well together.

Blog missions

Sliver dale school has decide to not do end of year prize giving. They have decide that they dont want to because they think school is not about ranking kids and putting them into groups. Many parents do not agree with this and I dont either.  I think that is not fair to not be reward for your hard work. I dont think that it is racking them it is just how much they try. I think that if they take away prize giving kids wont try as hard.

Athletics

On Monday we had our athletics I competed in high jump, long jump, shot put, 800m, 100m and 200m. I came 2nd in 800m 2nd in 100m and 1st in 200m. I was kinda surprised That I won the 200m because normal that is not my strongest event. I am not to sure what I came in any of the field events. We also won the 12+ girls relay.

Dream job

Outdoor recreation guide/instructor - I would like to do this job because I involves a lot of outdoor thinks like white water rafting skiing and heaps more.
For this job I think that I will need to be very brave and willing to give things ago.


Diver - I would like to do this job because it involves the ocean and I really like the beach it was also be cool to see all the sharks and other sea animal.
I think for this job I will need to be able to stay in the water long and have good swimming skills.

Army solider -   I would like be a army solider because it is very different to normal jobs and would interesting.
I think that for this job I will need to be very fit and resilience.

Learning spaces

Our learning spaces are for all the different types of work we do. The quiet zone is for when you want to go work by yourself or really need to get something done. The field is for creating and making. The middle space is for meeting together in the morning and  the end space is for meeting in groups with the teachers. I think that it is important that there are spaces for different learning because if you want to work collaboratively or by yourself there are spaces for it.     

A goal for this term

A goal for this term is to do well in athletics I hope I achieve this goal because last year I was  racing the year 8 so it was harder. I wont to do better in long jump, high jump and shot put bceuase I never do well in them.

Worksohps

The workshop I enjoyed the most was Georgia and Freya's giant bubble workshop because it worked really well. Another worked shop I enjoyed was Ella and Summers memory work shop because I hadn't played that game in ages and we got a lot of chocolate fish.  I think that my ice cream work shop went  pretty good I think it would be better if I made 2 lots of ice cream but the cream I brought somebody used one bottle witch really annoyed me because that was mine and then I couldn't make 2 lots of ice cream. That would also mean that they would get to do more things.

Weekly Reflection

This week I was growth mind because I didn't give up in X country. I Was respectful this week because I used my manners through out the week.  I was ind this week kind because I helped clean up after Te Ao Maori.

Toes

Toes help us stand up we need our toes other wise we will fall over toes help us walk as well and keep our balance. The big toe is most important because it can handled the most weight when walking the big is stronger than all the toe twice combined.

X country

On Monday we had our Ngatea cross country I was In the 12+ so I was the last raced but I did run with 5 year old so I wasn't sitting around all day. Before our race we did a little warm up and went over the track. This year tracked seemed so much bigger than other years. We had to do one little lap then one medium lap and the killer hill and then a medium lap. I slipped over in the mud a few times and got it all over my hands and wiped it on my face some of it turned out to be cow poo so I smelt really bad. my favourite part of the track was the creak because it was nice and refreshing. I was really proud of my self because I came first the best bit of the day was running with little kids.

Weekly Reflection

This week has been good I finished all my work by Thursday because one of my manga high task was more changeling than others. The things that I have enjoyed this week was rugby training, PE and PE in crew time. We played netball on Monday night instead of Wednesday and we played Ngatea force and The score  was 50-4 to us I was very happy with or score because that was the first time we had got 50 in a game. I had my writing sample on Thursday I write about New Zealand 100 years in to the future but we had to do it of a photo I would of rather of not to do it of a photo because I had other ideas that would of been better. Over all my week was good.

• Brief description of the game:
• Yoshi is a fun game to play with a lot of kids you will need to split the teams in to two even teams at the end of each side will be a safe side half the aim of the game is to get to the other side. if you try to get to the other side and get tagged you will sit down until one of your team mates comes and saves you. If the teacher yells out Yoshi your whole team will run and first team to get all the players to the safe zone wins. when there is a force yoshi it means the other team has got all there members there before the teacher calls yoshi.

My weekly reflection

This week has been pretty good and different to others because on Monday we had recruit training that relates to our new book we are reading for chapter chat. I didn't enjoy the change in learning teams because I was not put with any friends. I enjoyed playing netball on Wednesday we played Ngatea 2 and the score was 38 - 1 to us.  I have also enjoyed the games we played in PE but it did get annoying when people where cheating. I finished all of my work by Wednesday and have planned my IE creation. Over all this week has been good.

Recruit course 

Monday morning at school was different, Teachers had black stripes of paint
wiped across
there face and many children to.  
The day started of by getting your number between
100 and 300 we were then split off into groups.
All The activities had something to do with
recruits. We rotated throughout the morning so we could have a go
at all three different
activities.  There was rope walking , obstacle course and role play.

For rope walking we had to walk across a rope without falling off and touching the ground.
We also played a game with dice and whatever number you roll you have to do
some
sort of exercise. Then you would move onto the next activate.
For roll play we had to act out of seen with out talking they all had something
to do with
recruits. Then we moved onto obstacle course for that you would race against
another team
to try finish the course first.  

Overall I think most people enjoyed the morning because it was different and know one
had expected it.

Weekly Reflection

This week has been pretty good I finished most if my work on Monday. I enjoyed visual design this week because we got to do some painting. We won or netball game on 43-8 witch I was happy about. I am also happy because I Friday we have a half day but I am not going to school at all on Friday.

For visual design we had to create a clothing product that would have a purpose. I created a sweat shirt saying "SAVE THE SEA" my purpose is that sea animals are endangered because people are leaving plastic in the ocean. And I would like to help them survive.

 Week 7 Term 2 

This week has been pretty good. We have started our Math Ninja Challenge on Mangahigh. This week we won our netball game 38 - 5. I have achieved most of my work already and its only Thursday. This week I have enjoyed playing jet ball in the hall for PE. This week Mangahigh was harder that last weeks but I still managed to get medals on all the activates I was set. We also got our forms for the Learning in the Making.  

Overall this week has been pretty good.  

Monday

So far this Monday is going good I have done my chapter chat, done my blog post and am working on my IE and my art. My manga high is pretty hard this week so its going to take me longer than last weeks. I think that I am on track and I hope to have all work done by Thursday.

Plastic bag free

Ngatea is going plastic bag free. I think that this is a good idea because we will be saving a lot of sea animals and we will be saving or environment as well. We will be the first town to go plastic bag free witch is pretty cool I hope that other towns will soon see how good this is for or environment and or animals and soon make there town plastic bag free. 

Weekly reflection

Term 2 week 6 

This week has been pretty good we didn't have much work to do because most of the stuff was carried on form last week which I had already done. This week was short because we had queens birthday I like short weeks because the weekend comes sooner but sometimes its hard because we might have a lot of work but this week I didn't. On Wednesday night we played netball and we won 35 - 0 they where also or hardest team. We haven't lost a game yet we have won all our games by at least 20.

Lately we have been singing the song form friends and we will sing at assembly today. 

 Over all this week was pretty good.

This Monday I have gotten a lot done so far I have done two blog post, finished my chapter chat actives , finished my Toi Toi writing, Manga high and my frame. I think that I am on track for this week and will have everything done by Thursday.

My leadership my goal

My leadership goal for this year is to be a ambassador and house team leader because I  wasn't a leader last year and now that I am a year 8 I think that is would good to be a leader.

My aspirations and dreams

At the moment I don't know what I want to be when older. But I do now that I want to on my own house and have a good job. I hope that I will be able to have all these things and achieve my goal. To achieve my goal I will need to work hard.
