Learning in the making conference
Last Friday was a very fun Friday. It was the Learning in the Making conference.
First breakout
I did shell collage. We got a big piece of cardboard and four little pieces of cardboard. There was a station that had all different types of shells. We glued them all on and once we had got all the messy bits of glue off we could spray paint it and leave it to dry.
Second break out
I did tie dye and we used a white t-shirt. It was not any old tie dye, it was sharpie tie dye. Sharpie tie dye is when you get a jar or a bowl and a rubber band and wrap it around the t-shirt on the jar twice so it is tight. Then you draw your design and get this liquid called alcohol. You fill it half way into a eye drop dropper and drop it in the middle of your design. Watch it spread and wait for it to dry and take the rubber band off.
break out three/ break four
Break out three was a double session. I did paper mache. But it was more like decorating it. I did a doll there were also fish, owl and a bird. We also used textured wallpaper. We could also paint over top we then could glue these cool little decorations to personalize it.
I absolutely love your t-shirt sharpie tie-dye it is beautiful.
