Beach Ed

Today the year 7s and 8s went over to Waihi Beach for the day and learned heaps of important information. Such as how to recognize a rip, how to get out of a rip safety. We did heaps of fun activities like relays, seaweed and we also got to look around the first aid room as well as the lifeguard lookout.

The water actives we did was run around the adults who were standing in shape of a U, dolphin dives, high fiving them and splashing them. We were even lucking enough to have a free swim. My favorite part was definitely the free swim. But I would of like to go out deeper than our waits, so we could of done more things. The life guards where super nice and made you feel welcome.  Overall it was a super fun day.

some key things to remember.

1. if you are not comfortable do not go in the water
2. swim with a buddy
3 be sun save
